I used brackets to hold up the PVC pipe...I think in the future I would do bigger brackets or else something to keep the base a bit more stable. He was a little wobbly. My husband used PVC cleaner and glue for all the pieces

We put chicken wire over him like a poncho and then a hood and arms. The hood gave us the most grief. You definitely want to make the chicken wire for the hood bigger than you think. You can always tuck the chicken wire after.

We used craft felt from Joann fabrics for around $2 a yard. This took some tweaking. First we made a robe for the arms but removed that and then thought a poncho over the front and back would be best. Then we laid it over and my husband thought we could just cut out a hole and pin the pieces back. We used extra fabric to stuff inside to cover the pipes and chicken wire so just the skull showed up.

I still haven't finished the staff but we tried to test it out first. The lantern is kind of heavy so I think I will do plastic flickery lights to keep it light We laid a grey cheese cloth over his too for effect.

What do you think?! He is like 6.5ft tall and we love him!
